Pedal the Festival
It’s springtime in Atlanta. That means two things. Everything you own is now yellow, and there are no fewer than 12 festivals going on every weekend somewhere in the city. Well, now it also means a third thing: Southern Pedaler is out and about! We are hitting the ground running (pedaling?) in our first spring season. Rides are booking up, and we will be bringing the pedal party to Atlanta’s biggest festivals in the coming weeks.
This weekend, April 8th, we will be hitting Atlanta Streets Alive offering hop on/off service along the brand new Decatur Street/DeKalb Avenue route. If you are one of the thousands of Atlantans going on Sunday keep your eyes peeled for the big blue bike. Get tired of walking? Or just want to experience a new fun way to get around? Hop on! The Atlanta Streets Alive festival will be a great way to take in Atlanta’s east side, passing right by Sweet Auburn, Krog Street Market, Oakland Cemetery, and many more great spots. Rumor has it we may even have live music onboard!
And that’s just how we are starting the month. We will be also be putting a cap on April with none other than Atlanta’s #1 must-do event: The Inman Park Festival. That’s right, we will be bringing the pedal party to the Inman Park Festival parade! We’d say to keep your eyes peeled for us here too, but – let’s be real – you won’t be able to miss us. If you’ve never seen the Inman Park parade before, you owe it to yourself to go (whether we are there or not) and experience one of Atlanta’s most colorful eclectic events.
Of course, somewhere in between these festivals we have to do our day job too, right? Both the large and small pedalers are getting busy with tours booking up in April and even for Cinco de Mayo already. We are hard at work locking down the best locations and deals for our passengers. Cypress Street Pint & Plate has just come onboard offering a 10% discount to our guests during tour stops! Stay tuned as well for the Atlanta Cycling Festival in May, where we will be at the opening and closing ceremonies as well as hosting an event during the week.
As always, thank you for being a part of our journey and the Southern Pedaler community. We hope you will come pedal the ATL with us soon!
