The Streets are Alive
Hello everyone! It has been quite the week for us since our last blog post about upcoming events this spring. We had a big weekend full of rides, festivals, soccer, and Hamilton – yes, Hamilton!
Let’s start with Friday night when we welcomed Quinn and her friends who were in town to celebrate a bachelorette party. The party planner was looking for something unique to do in Atlanta to kickoff their Friday night festivities. They certainly got their money’s worth, experiencing Midtown Atlanta for the first time on our small pedaler. They were definitely center of attention rolling down Peachtree!
Saturday, we hung our flags and got out on the road to show our support for the Atlanta United before they dominated LA FC 5-0! Fans were out in full force in their United jerseys and scarves all the way from Midtown to Downtown. Speaking of fans being out in full force, did anyone get Hamilton tickets Sunday? We had a blast passing by everyone camped out by the Fox Theater trying to get tickets to the show – of course we were rocking out to the Hamilton soundtrack on our Bluetooth sound system as we pedaled by. Now that I think of it, that sounds like the perfect way to arrive in style for the show if you got tickets!
All that excitement, and we still haven’t gotten to Atlanta Streets Alive yet! The pedal party continued Sunday afternoon as we did hop on/off rides between Five Points and Krog Street at Atlanta Streets Alive. We got to meet lots of fun new people, and Atlanta City Councilman Matt Westmoreland even took a spin! All in all, it was a great day coming together with the community along the new Decatur Street/Dekalb Avenue route. Thanks to the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition for putting on another great event, we can’t wait for the next one!
That wraps up this week, but don’t worry we have another big week ahead with 5 rides already booked this upcoming weekend! Until next time…Pedal On!
